Joburg Sixes is where social sport and serious fun meet! Short-format cricket, padel and hockey plus a unique golf day format to open the weekend, wrapped in live music, great food, a full bar, wine on the wicket and a kids zone. Friday 2 – Sunday 4 October 2026.

Grab your mates, your colleagues or your club and pick your sport. Formats are short, fast and built for all abilities, you don't need to be match-fit, just seven friends and a sense of humour. Hockey makes its Sixes debut in Joburg, so your team can be part of a first. Fields are limited and first come, first served once a sport is full, it's full.

Event: The Sixes Cup
Venue: Main Oval at Pirates Sports Club, 25 Braeside Road, Greenside, Johannesburg, 2034
Format: Day 1 features round-robin pool matches to determine the knockout bracket for Day 2, with finals on Sunday afternoon. Six players per side, five overs per innings on a reduced boundary, every ball counts and every over can swing the match. The format rewards aggression from the first delivery; there's no time to settle, no room to hide in the field. You don't need to be match-fit, you need a team of six who want to compete.
Capacity: 8 teams
Entry Fee: R12,000 per team (squad of up to 8 players) including shirt, cap and Spit Braai on Saturday night

Event: Sixes Golf Tournament
Venue: Killarney Country Club, 60 5th Street, Lower Houghton, Johannesburg
Format: Eight pools of four teams, 6-hole better ball Matchplay. Top sides advance to quarter-finals, semis and a final on the closing holes. The Sixes Golf format rotates opponents every 6 holes, so you face three different pairs across 18. That’s triple the interactions, rivalries and conversations of a standard golf day.A tournament spine with a social soul.
Capacity: 64 players
Entry Fee: R2400 per team or R1200 per person, which includes green fee, meal and prize giving. Golf Carts optional and to be booked directly with the club.

Event: Sixes Padel Tournament - Men's and Women's Doubles
Venue: Padel at Pirates Padel Club, Cnr 4th Ave & Cruden Lane, Greenside
Format: Round-robin group stage into knockouts and final.One tiebreaker set to 6 games per match, with one advantage then Golden Point to decide each game. All games played throughout the tournament are accumulated.Round-robin results and knockout matches both count.
Capacity: 8 teams per tournamanet
Entry Fee: R800 per team (2 players per team)
